The Carbon Block Filter, provides the most efficient contaminant removal possible. Multi-Pure’s densely compacted car- bon block filter mechanically intercepts particles as small as 0.5 micron (sub micron) as well as electrokinectically adsorbs particles by attracting the negative ions of certain contaminants. In addition, the carbon block filter has a large surface area for chemical/physical adsorption to take place, reducing many different organic chemicals, pesticides, herbi- cides and certain heavy metals. Recommended filter change (Model No. CB6): approximately once a year.

Not intended to be used where the water is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the unit. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected water that may contain cysts.

Multi-Pure Solid Carbon Block Drinking Water Systems have been tested, proven, and certified, as indicated, by NSF International for compliance to NSF/ANSI Standard Nos. 42 & 53.  The Multi-Pure Drinking Water Systems have been certified by the State of California Department of Public Health for the reduction of specific contaminants...

Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts.

Filter life will vary in proportion to the amount of water used and the level of impurities in the water being processed. For optimum performance, it is essential that the filter be replaced on a regularly scheduled basis as follows: (a) annually; (b) when the unit’s rated capacity has been reached; (c) the flow rate diminishes; or (d) the filter becomes saturated with bad tastes and odors.

Multi-Pure Drinking Water System Housings are warranted for Lifetime (provided that the filter be replaced at least once a year

All exterior hoses and attachments to the System are warranted for one year.

In compliance with New York law, it is recommended that before purchasing a water treatment system, NY residents have their water supply tested to determine their actual water treatment needs. Please compare the capabilities of the Multi-Pure unit with your actual water treatment needs.

While testing was performed under standard laboratory conditions, actual performance may vary.  The list of substances which the treatment device reduces does not necessarily mean that these substances are present in your tap water.

MultiPure uses a solid carbon block filter manufactured from coconut carbon, a renewable resource, the very best carbon for water filtration, that is considered to be the most effective method for reducing a wide range of contaminants of health concern, which may be present in the water.

The carbon is compacted into a dense structure, causing every molecule of water to be forced through microscopic pores of carbon, effectively reducing pollutants.

The MultiPure Solid Carbon Block Water Filter is a replaceable cartridge designed so that it can be easily changed.

Some additional advantages of the Solid Carbon Block Filter are that it does not waste water, there is no electricity required, it does not remove essential trace minerals that are beneficial to good health, it does not add salt or silver to the water; and it provides fresh, delicious, healthy drinking water.

How the Filter Works - Multi-Pure Drinking Water Systems’ replaceable triple-action filter has been formulated using materials that will provide the highest quality drinking water without removing the healthful, natural minerals.

Multi-Pure's carbon block filters combine mechanical filtration, electrokinetic adsorption, and physical adsorption to provide the most effective contaminant reduction possible.

Housing Warranty:  Lifetime  Mechanical Filtration: The filtration process begins with water passing through a graded density 5-micron pre-filter that traps dirt, sand, and particles that affect the taste, odor, and overall appearance of your water. Then the water passes through the highly compacted solid carbon block where direct mechanical interception of particles as small as 0.5 micron occurs. Asbestos, cysts, and turbidity are reduced through mechanical filtration at the sub-micron level.

Electrokinetic Adsorption: The graded density prefilter acquires a positive molecular charge as water passes through it. Since most colloidal contaminants exhibit a negative charge in solution, the media fibers will electrokinetically attract charged colloidal particles too small for removal by mechanical straining.

Physical Adsorption: Multi-Pure’s highly compacted carbon block water filter media is a blend of selected activated carbons made from coconut carbon, a renewable resource, and other materials that reduce aesthetic contaminants and health-related contaminants. Only carbons are selected with a high surface area and high retentivity characteristics. The materials are formed into a carbon block, which is densely compacted to provide longer contact time and outstanding performance that cannot be achieved with other filtration technologies.

Multi-Pure’s solid carbon block water filters effectively adsorb contaminants with health significance, including chlordane, lead, mercury, MTBE, PCBs, Toxaphene, and VOCs, plus aesthetic contaminants such as chlorine and chloramine.

The solid carbon block water filter is engineered so that contaminants removed by mechanical filtration will cause the flow rate to decrease, and the filter will clog. It is recommended that the filter be replaced when the first of the following occurs: (a) annually; (b) the unit's rated capacity is reached; (c) the flow rate diminishes; (d) the filter becomes saturated with bad tastes and odors.

The effectiveness of any drinking water treatment device is measured by the performance of its filter. Multi-Pure provides the best in water filtration!

Multi-Pure Water Filters are easy and convenient to use and provide delicious, clear, and healthier drinking water whenever you need it.  These models use the exclusive three-stage, solid carbon block water filter...
